The Shoot Captain
Des Smith runs the gun line at Woodfalls Shoot, ensuring everything flows smoothly during the Dorset shooting events while taking excellent care of the Guns throughout the day. With a wealth of experience behind him, Des brings calm organisation, a sharp eye, and a steady hand to the field, making every farm shoot enjoyable and well run. His expertise also extends to gundog training, further enhancing the overall experience.
Head Game Keeper
Jason Smith is an experienced gamekeeper at Woodfalls Shoot, a premier destination for Dorset shooting. He is responsible for managing the beating team and ensuring the day’s sport flows seamlessly. With a deep understanding of the land and a steady, hands-on approach, Jason makes certain each drive runs smoothly, while also caring for both the birds and the countryside. His expertise extends to gundog training, which enhances the overall experience at this farm shoot.
Head Chef
Food at Woodfalls Shoot is an integral part of the Dorset shooting experience, offering hearty, home-made grub to keep everyone energized throughout the day. During a farm shoot, there’s often the odd “sloegasm” making the rounds—along with perhaps a beer or two—contributing to the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, perfect for gundog training enthusiasts.
